David Collins is a landscape painter who has lived on the Hawkesbury River since 1987. Rowing the river and painting or drawing from its shores has been a major influence on David′s work over this time.
David has exhibited an extensive body of work since the early 90′s and has been the recipient of a number of notable artist residencies including the Australian Wildlife Conservancy Residency, Mt Zero QLD and Nock Art Foundation Residency, Queenstown, New Zealand. He has also been selected as a finalist in numerous awards including the Wynne Prize, AGNSW, where he was awarded ‘Highly Commended’.
